A westerner asked to describe his or her neighborhood will usually talk about the shops, landmarks, buildings, streets and parks around where they live. If you were to ask someone, "What's your neighborhood like?" they would probably answer by giving an evaluative judgment. For example, "It's really nice," or "It's quite quiet." Because westerners like Chinese live in so many different areas, it's hard to generalize about what would constitute a neighborhood.
