Unit 7 Would you mind turning down the music? 同步阅读 人民教育出版社 An e-mail from Jay
Hey Tom, I'm glad to hear you're doing great. I had a terrible day today. I didn't sleep well last night, because the neighbors were playing loud music until two in the morning. That's why I woke up late this morning and had to run to Janet's house to walk with her to school. She was late as usual and we had to run to make sure we weren't late for school. She should really get a watch. Doesn't she know it's rude to make people wait all the time? Anyway, after school, I went to buy some shoes. They felt alright when I tried them on, but when I got home and checked, I found out they were the wrong size! Great --- so now I have to go back to the shop and change them. Then in the evening, I went out for dinner and a movie with a couple of friends. I was really annoyed when I saw this man smoking next to him! You know what I can't stand either? When people jump the line! We were waiting to buy the movie tickets at the cinema and this guy just cut in line. I told him to go back to the end of the line but he just stared at me. The movie was OK but as usual, there were people who didn't switch off their cell phones during the show. You have no idea how annoyed I was! Sorry I've been complaining to much, but today was not a good day. I hope tomorrow will be better. Jay | (责任编辑:admin) |
